What are Snow Socks?
Snow socks are lightweight textile traction aids that fit over your vehicle’s tyres to provide grip on snow and ice. The durable fabric captures snow within its fibres, creating effective snow-on-snow traction to help improve control in difficult winter conditions. Both brands use patented technology that draws the snow sock fabric tightly towards the tyre, creating ripples across the material to maximise the contact area with the road. Sock and Material Technology
Our brands (Silknet and Trendy) feature a patented centre grip band which pulls the fabric against the tyre creating a better adhesion to the tyre tread while simultaneously creating small folds and ripples in the centre of the sock fabric that creates better surface area, and therefore “grip” between the snow and the fabric.

Unused products can be returned to us within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. (Taking chains or socks on a journey where they might be needed or legally required is considered use). Products and packaging must be in the same good condition that they were supplied in. Please quote your name, address and order number and the new product part number required for exchange or request to refund in with your return and ideally inform us before they are returned and return them using a tracible delivery service. Fitting can be done in 2 minutes with a little practice, however 2-4 minutes is easily achievable on snow socks. Snow socks are far quicker and less complicated than chains.
Snow socks ideally will last for a few winters at least, provided they are used on snow and ice covered roads, they show little signs of wear. Hard driving or driving on non covered or patchy roads will damage the material. The same applies to chains where the chain links which can break when chains slide too much on the road surface.
No, like snow chains, you must remove them from your vehicle in non snow or ice conditions.
Yes, all of the products that we sell (chains and socks) are legal for use in the UK and Europe where snow chain signs are shown. With one caveat: In Austria, whilst you can use socks, you are still required to have metal chains that are ready to use where the snow chain sign is shown.
Snow socks and chains should be fitted to all drive wheels. If you have a 2 wheel drive vehicle you need two socks, four wheel drive vehicles need four socks. Our Snow socks and chains are all sold in pairs, so if you order one product/set, you get two socks or chains included.
