Silknet Plus Snow socks are an award winning, easy fit winter traction device for: Cars, SUVs and vans. Each set includes 2 socks that are fitted to your drive wheels in just 2-4 minutes, if you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle you’ll need 2 sets.
Silknet socks are easily fitted, you start by hooking the sock over the top of the tyre and fit as much as the sock as you can working downward – then do the same on the other wheel. Once the sock is pulled as far as it can, roll the vehicle forward to rotate the wheel by 180 degrees. You can now pull the rest of the sock over the remaining part of the tyre. Silknet’s straps can then be used to manipulate the sock as best you can, once driving the sock will completely self-centre.
Silknet snow socks have a patented design feature which actually pulls the fabric against the tyre to create a better adhesion to the tyre tread and at the same time create small folds and ripples in the centre of the snow sock fabric that creates better grip between the snow and the fabric. Furthermore, opposing directional fabric is produced to better trap snow in it’s weave and increase traction with the snow on the road. They’re up to 98% as effective as metal snow chains on traction, with a fraction of the fitting time.

Used Silknet 60 socks for the first time today, due to current blizzard conditions in central Scotland. Highly effective through both deep and compacted snow, including streets with challenging gradients. Would highly recommend.

I heard of these but hadn’t tried them up to now. Fitted well and I had very good control. Pleasantly suprised

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had such a good experience with the Silknet Plus snow chains that I felt compelled to share my experience: I have never used these fabric chains or socks as they are called so I tried them out and to my amazement I got out of my drive and up my road (which is a small lane) onto the main road, I took them off and carried on my way. Everybody else along the lane was stuck all morning! I have used them a couple of times now and although a bit dirty, thy’re still in excellent condition. One very happy customer indeed.
Mandy (verified owner) –

Snow Socks.. Wow! Used Silknet Plus snow socks for the first time last winter and forgot to leave a review, and wow what an experience. Easy to fit compared to the chains I have used before, fitted nicely and worked perfectly. They do need to be dried or cleaned after use – but great overall.

Steve Woods (verified owner) –
Thought I was going mad ordering these… Boy was I wrong. I had to fit them twice on the way to france skiing and back and take them off. Well to say I was standing in the snow for longer than 3 minutes each time would be an exaggeration. Still in good condition apart from a very small tear in the seam. Thoroughly impressed.
V Langford (verified owner) –
